All programs are one-hour in length (unless otherwise noted or requested), individually priced and subject to advance scheduling/booking confirmation. Programs may be modified, if needed.
We also offer specialized assistance services for facilities, communities and organizations hosting their own events. Need a prepared educational or enrichment presentation on a specific topic? Our local service area includes southern NH/ME, the MA Merrimack Valley and surrounding areas within a 25-mile radius of Hampton, NH. For other service locations, a surcharge of .50 per mile will be added to the program cost for additional mileage. Your understanding is appreciated.
2023 Holiday Programs
"The Gift of the Magi"
The iconic O. Henry short story about unconditional love and the true meaning of Christmas. Newly married in 1905, “Mr. and Mrs. James Dillingham Young” didn't have much money to buy gifts for each other. As Christmas approached, Jim and Della solved their gift dilemma in acts of selfless devotion. An endearing story with great irony and an important message about what really matters.
Two program options, as below: $150 - $225
Costumed Reading: An expressive 40-minute narration of the story written by O. Henry. Choice of costumed narrator (Mrs. Claus or Victorian Caroler). Reading followed by a 20-minute group discussion and interesting information about the life of O. Henry. or. $150
Performance: A costumed first-person performance with a twist of creative license. It's Christmas morning many years later and a widowed “Della” remembers that first beautiful Christmas with her beloved "Jim". Followed by "Della" distributing a Christmas treat for audience. $225
Victorian Influences on Christmas Today
A fun, interesting and informative lecture about the many ways in which Victorian England shaped our Christmas holidays today. Choice of costumed presenter: Mrs. Claus or Victorian Caroler. Followed by group Christmas carols and distribution of a treat for audience members. $175
Mrs. Claus Visits & Strolls
While Santa is busy with his own preparations, Mrs. Claus is available for costumed* holiday facility/organization events, including visits and strolls. She can even help to host special events/functions. Whether strolling through the community with her jingle bells, popping in for impromptu one-on-one visits with residents or assisting with Christmas parties, Mrs. Claus delivers up her own special brand of holiday cheer and good will. $125/hour
Holiday Help From "Meri" the Elf
With the busy holidays fast approaching, "Meri" the Elf is here to help! She'll arrive costumed* and ready to tackle your holiday list -- from shopping, decorating and gift wrapping to cooking, baking or serving at holiday functions/events. She even does house calls and outings for client** holiday enjoyment! Let us know how "Meri" can make your holidays easier and more festive! $75/hour
