Recognize someone you love!
Send a Greeting Card
Older Americans Month (OAM) is a special time of year. Designated in the month of May, it’s an opportunity to recognize older adults (age 65 and over) and to celebrate their lifelong contributions.
Whatever their roles, as siblings, parents, grandparents and family members, friends and neighbors, employees and employers, mentors, advocates or volunteers --
they make our world a better place! Their experience and talents, wisdom and guidance, love and support enrich us all, individually and collectively.
This year’s theme, "Make Your Mark", highlights older adults’ unique and lasting contributions to their communities—everything from sharing a story with grandchildren to leaving a legacy of community action.
Meriatrics salutes Older Americans everywhere and thank them for making such a difference in the lives of those they touch. It’s our pleasure to honor them, this month and beyond.
Visit Administration for Community Living (ACL) to learn more about this year’s theme. ACL provides resources to help older Americans stay healthy and independent, and, offers materials and ideas for helping communities support and celebrate their citizens.
